"Futility"-This is the first painting I started since high school. I can't think of a name for it so I am open to suggestions. I started painting it in November 2007 and finished it right after New Year's Day.
It is a nude female angel with red wings that happen to be on fire at the tips. She is suspended above an underground lake of blood and has a wrecking ball chained to her ankles. There is a hole above her which she cannot fit through even if she were freed from the wrecking ball.
She is having a bad day, I guess.

"Phase Space"- This is just one of many abstracts to come. I had a bit of fun moving the light source on this painting so that each object's shadow is projected differently from the others' shadows.
Completed January 2008
"Lady Pirate"- I painted this specifically for my mom to hang in her living room. She has a nautical theme going with her decor so I thought this could be a fun addition to that. She likes it and on her wall it is displayed. - Completed January 2008
Still life (not completed)-This is the first still life I have ever attempted. I did it mainly out of frustration that I see crappy still lifes like this one in Walmart©: and people actually pay for them. So I figured maybe I can sell this one for 20 bucks or so.
completed after this photo was taken January 16th, 2008
"Winter"
This painting is based on a small stream that runs under an intersection near my home. After a heavy snow the water appeared perfectly black and was extremely still. I painted it from memory as best I could and took a bit of artistic liberty.
