My first attempt at poetry ever
Vacant Soul
im killing the me
that you claim to see
im killing the me
that wasnt meant to be
all that i touch
turns to dust
never find love
only lust
spent all my life
giving all that i am
only to find out
that i never became
ive been who you want
anything you feel
when you decide you are done
i cease to be real
I never became
I was never really born
Im a shell of a being
that no one will mourn
without a purpose
without a role
without a love
without a soul

So Beautiful
It's been a long time since I blogged anything. I sometimes say my only addiction is music. I am not musically talented other than rocking the karaoke bar but music moves me. Helps me to express thoughts that would otherwise be trapped between my ears and completely incomprehensible by others. I recent new addition to my world has totally brought this song to the forefront of my mind.

Paintings I Completed January 2008
"Futility"-This is the first painting I started since high school. I can't think of a name for it so I am open to suggestions. I started painting it in November 2007 and finished it right after New Year's Day.
It is a nude female angel with red wings that happen to be on fire at the tips. She is suspended above an underground lake of blood and has a wrecking ball chained to her ankles. There is a hole above her which she cannot fit through even if she were freed from the wrecking ball.
She is having a bad day, I guess.
completed January 2008
"Phase Space"- This is just one of many abstracts to come. I had a bit of fun moving the light source on this painting so that each object's shadow is projected differently from the others' shadows.
Completed January 2008
"Lady Pirate"- I painted this specifically for my mom to hang in her living room. She has a nautical theme going with her decor so I thought this could be a fun addition to that. She likes it and on her wall it is displayed. - Completed January 2008
Still life (not completed)-This is the first still life I have ever attempted. I did it mainly out of frustration that I see crappy still lifes like this one in Walmart©: and people actually pay for them. So I figured maybe I can sell this one for 20 bucks or so.
completed after this photo was taken January 16th, 2008
"Winter"
This painting is based on a small stream that runs under an intersection near my home. After a heavy snow the water appeared perfectly black and was extremely still. I painted it from memory as best I could and took a bit of artistic liberty.
