Liberation by "Seagypsy"

There was a girl I used to know

side by side we did grow

always smiling she had the stage

adored by all from a tender age

as time went by she began to cry

so i'd take her hand and away we'd fly

to a place where manners mattered not

and in this place to her i taught

you spent your life pleasing all

and by the wayside your "friends" did fall

they never caught you when you fell

twas me who, for you, went to hell

in the mirror I see her face

wipe the tears and take her place

she is tired now and can take no more

this life has treated her like a whore

following the rules and rising above

never once earned her love

I've been her understudy for so long

now she cannot sing her song

It is my time to take her place

no more tears running down our face

The heart we share will remain cold

no more i love yous to be told

smell the flowers ignore the weeds

tis the time to fullfil our needs

I'll sheild us from the judging glares

as we move to sample wares

I'll find a wild steed that suits us right

A fierce one that can run all night

To carry us off to the land of dreams

To the land of subdued screams

swimming in a sea of lust

she'll realize she no longer must

offer up any explaination

or live up to expectations

from this day forward she will always be

uninhibited living free
